People often bandy about the phrase ‘Anger Management’, and we all imagine sitting in a circular group with a bunch of volatile, unstable people that look like time-bombs waiting to go off.

All the while some dreadfully patronising group-leader who says that “it’s OK to feel like that”.

That’s enough to make anyone get angry.

That isn’t *my* idea of effective professional treatment for aggression, temper or anger issues, and it isn’t how I help people to get changes for themselves either. I’m interested not so much in the management of Anger as I am in the reduction of it.

Reduction, not total removal – why? Because There is going to be times when it isappropriate to feel anger, but chances are, if you’re seeking help for it, you’re getting angry too often.

When feeling angry or in a rage, sometimes you won’t know what you’re doing, sometimes you will know but won’t be able to stop it, other times it is a reaction to something someone does or says that in some way violates you or your boundaries.

Of course, mostly, we all know that we shouldn’t be getting so angry, that it is a massive waste of time and energy, and the knowing this fact and yet still being unable to stop the temper only serves to frustrate you even further.

For most people anger subsides over a relatively short period of time. For those who it’s more of a problem for, it can last for hours or days at a strong intensity.

If you (or the angry person) could feel calmer in situations, or just able to keep a lid on the temper and under control, wouldn’t that be better? If you could maintain your composure and not ‘lose it’, how would that feel? In fact, just imagine staying calm in those scenarios this time.

I expect the answer would range from ‘good’ to ‘amazing’

How is the session structured?

Within the structure of the sessions we’ll be working with your conscious mind using with approaches from NLP, IEMT & Provocative Therapy as well as working with your subconscious mind (that’s the part driving the anger response), and this will be done predominantly using Hypnosis. By covering both these aspects of mind we’ll work together to effectively overwrite the negative anger response, and introduce and promote within you a much more favourable way to behave and respond in those situations that once caused you to fly off the handle.
